Ross's Gulls Galore

We’ve just returned from America’s northernmost city where our quest for Ross’s Gulls was a resounding success. On our last birding trip of 2014, seven hearty birders enjoyed fine views of the bubblegum pink gull on each day of the trip, including a flight of several hundred on the last day. The above photo captured just a few of the birds that flew by that day. Other highlights included four Snowy Owls, daily encounters with Yellow-billed Loons, and long and leisurely views of a mother and two young Polar Bears! A full trip report will be out soon.
